Well, what we mean by the phrase “CHRIST Awakening” is NOT quite like that!
It is more like being shaken awake by an earthquake! Everything in your life gets shifted around in new directions, and you become involved with Jesus in powerful new ways—as you get up and get on with HIS day.
Isaiah puts like this: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. . . . the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you” (Isaiah 60:1-2, NIV).
That’s earthquake talk—whether for an individual, a church, or an entire nation.
