Fall is just around the corner. What dreams do you have about serving Jesus as summer comes to an end in September?
Would you be open to dreaming about helping those with whom you worship to get far more excited about the wonders of Jesus? More excited about living for his glory? More excited about sharing him with others?
If so, take these next 15 minutes in August to relax and dream about the possibilities of forming a C.A.S.T. that will serve your church over the next few months!
A CAST—Christ Awakening Servant Team—consists of a small group of disciples who have a burning passion to know more about Jesus, experience more of Jesus, and become more for Jesus.
They come together to form a CAST because they also want to invite fellow believers to join them in seeing and sharing in the fullness of God’s reigning Son! They want to KNOW Jesus more and SHARE more of Jesus with believers around them.
Tactfully and lovingly, CAST members work together to increase a focus on the glory of Christ among their fellow Christians. They do this, primarily, by speaking about the wonders of who he is today and how he is fulfilling God’s promises among us.
This can happen during everyday conversations, when texting, or by sharing videos or social media posts from ChristNow.com individually or with a whole congregation. Sundays offer a great opportunity to share fresh discoveries face to face with a host of Jesus followers.
The goal of a CAST is to help deepen your own and others’ passion for Jesus for ALL he is as our Redeemer and King. We might say a CAST serves by casting—it casts a larger vision of God’s Son among God’s people in all types of ordinary, personal interactions. The ultimate impact of a CAST ministry, by the power of the Holy Spirit, comes down to this:
