SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 68:32-35
Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth,
sing praise to the Lord,
to him who rides across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,
who thunders with mighty voice.
Proclaim the power of God,
whose majesty is over Israel,
whose power is in the heavens.
You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary;
the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.
Praise be to God!
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST upholds the whole universe by His powerful word, and speaks with authority to His people.
Dear Father, I join with multitudes of believers throughout the earth in singing praises to the Lord Jesus Christ, Who triumphantly rides the ancient skies, and Who Thunders With Mighty Voice. His mighty voice thundered, creating the universe out of nothing; His mighty voice thundered, bringing judgment and eternal destruction or eternal life for men and nations; His mighty voice thundered, raising the dead, causing wind and waves to obey Him, forcing demons to come out of people, healing bodies and minds, and forgiving sin while He was living on earth. His mighty voice thundered: “proclaiming good news to the poor, binding up the broken-hearted, proclaiming freedom for the captives, releasing from darkness the prisoners, and comforting all who mourn” (Isaiah 61:1-2). Hallelujah! His mighty voice will thunder once again when He returns to earth to establish His eternal kingdom. All glory to Jesus, Whose mighty voice thunders as the Lord of all! What a mighty voice! I pray that I and all who have received Him as our Savior will revere and submit to the power of the Mighty Voice, and I pray that scores of unsaved people will soon hear the irresistible Voice and be radically saved. All these things I pray in Jesus’ thundering name. Amen.
