SCRIPTURE READING:
John 1:1-4, 14a

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is God, and He communicates to all people the fullness of Who God is.

Dear Father, I praise Jesus, the Word, that He has lived in intimate relationship with You forever, and that He is God. I praise Him also that He is the Creator of ALL things. All glory to Jesus that “without him nothing was made that has been made.” I am in awe that You have revealed Yourself through all that the Word created, as affirmed in Hebrews 1:2, “in these last days, he [God] has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” I exalt the Word that all of the life of the Godhead is in Him, and that He “became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” I love Jesus’ statement in John 10:10b of the immeasurable authority and abundance that is in Him alone: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” I pray that I and an ever-increasing number of other believers will set aside all other attractions and passions we encounter, so that we can live “to the full” in the Lord Jesus, the Word. I pray that as we know Him more and live in more of His full-ness, we will be filled with so much joy and hope that we must tell others about all that He is. Please give masses of lost men, women, young people and children such a longing for all the Word is that they will stop at nothing to have Him in their lives very soon. In the life-giving name of Jesus I pray these things. Amen.
