SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 35:8-10

And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
No lion will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST laid down His life to create a way that is holy to lead us straight into God’s presence.

Dear Father, I praise Jesus that He is completely holy. I exalt Him that He rules, leads and ministers in perfect holiness, and that the only way I can know You and be reconciled to You, is through the life, death and resurrection of the Way of Holiness. I am grateful that one day Jesus will return for me and all people who have received Him as their Savior, and lead them in His eternal way, as the prophet declared in Isaiah 52:10, “The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.” With all my heart I want to be holy as the Way of Holiness is holy. I thank You that all spiritual and physical safety and security are in the Way of Holiness. I also pray that You will keep me, my family members and all of Christ’s other followers always living in the Way of Holiness, so that all our thoughts, words and actions are holy in Him. I pray that “gladness and joy will overtake” us, and that “sorrow and sighing will flee away” from us. Please draw many sinners all around us irresistibly toward the Way of Holiness so they too might soon be redeemed. I ask these things in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
