SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 27:1-3
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me
to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST has become the eternal, impregnable fortress in which all believers find refuge.
Dear Father, I am very grateful for the endless security, hope and comfort I have since the Lord Jesus Christ is the impregnable Stronghold (the Strength) of My Life! I exalt the Stronghold of My Life that He is MY Light and MY Salvation, so I do not have to fear anyone! Hallelujah! He holds every part of my life strongly, now and forever, against all forces of darkness! I give Him all glory that, according to Colossians 2:15, “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” I worship His supreme strength and power, and His unwavering faithfulness to His people. I pray You will give us an ardent desire to know the Stronghold of My Life more, so we will put all of our hope in Him, be absolutely confident in Him, abandon ourselves to Him, speak more about His pre-eminence with one another, and intercede day and night for all the lost people around us to receive Him as their Stronghold too. Please cause the relentless evil men of our day to stumble and fall as they come against the Stronghold. I pray all these things in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.
