SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 118:22-24

The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, although initially rejected, is the Source and Foundation of all God’s kingdom.

Dear Father, I grieve deeply that when You sent Jesus, the mighty Creator and Lord of the Universe, to earth to represent all that You are and to provide the only way for sinful man to receive redemption, the religious leaders You entrusted to build Your kingdom intently rejected, humiliated and killed Him. Shamefully, He was then, as He is often now, the contemptible Stone the Builders Rejected. I earnestly repent for the times when I and other believers today reject Him. But, then I shout “Hallelujah” that You raised the Stone the Builders Rejected up from the dead, and anointed Him to be the victorious cornerstone (head stone of the corner) of the whole Church of the Living God! I rejoice that He is the solid, righteous, tried, true, firm, precious and strong Stone that has joined the two walls of Jews and Gentiles into one holy temple. Oh, how marvelous He is in our eyes! Please help the Church to build our lives solely upon Jesus, and devote ourselves to giving Him all the glory and honor He is due. I pray that many unsaved people we know will watch us live firmly upon the great Stone, and eagerly seek to receive Him too. I pray these things in His marvelous name. Amen.
