Jesus is…
The Source of Eternal Salvation

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
Dear Father, I praise Jesus that He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries to You to save Him from death, and that You heard Him because of His reverent submission to You. I grieve that He had to learn obedience through suffering, but I rejoice that His suffering made Him perfect (complete) as the Savior of the world. I bow before Him, the One and Only Source (Author) of Eternal Salvation for me and all who obey Him by believing on Him. I marvel that Jesus, the Creator and Source of all physical life, is also the Source of Eternal Salvation (Life). Hallelujah! He is the Redeemer, Savior, Mediator, Advocate, Blessed Hope, Deliverer, Chosen One, Living Water and many more names and titles that declare His salvation power! I am again very grateful that Peter’s declaration in Acts 2:21 is absolutely true today: “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” I pray that a consuming gratitude to Jesus for our eternal life will rise up within my spirit and within all believers everywhere, to the point that we must tell each other about His greatness and about our growing love for, and devotion to, Him. May we submit to Him as He submits to You. In the name of the Source of Eternal Salvation I ask these things. Amen.
