Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Dear Father, I love to focus on Your Son. I can only imagine how precious He is to You. I am in awe of Him as Your beloved Son, Your One and Only Son, Your co-eternal and co-equal Son, Your Son Who created all things, the Son You are well-pleased with, the Son Who is Your Heir of all things, the Son in Whom all of You dwells, the Son Whom You want to receive all glory, the Son Whom You have given all authority in heaven and on earth, the Son You have appointed as judge of all people, and unfathomably more. I exalt, worship, praise and adore Your Son. I give myself body, mind and spirit to Him alone. Oh, great Father, I pray that You will help me, my family members, and all of His followers to become immersed in, captivated by, and sold out to, Your Son, like You are. May we “live and move and have our being” in Your Son (Acts 17:28). What a joy it is that He sent His early disciples under His authority to do just that: “make disciples of all nations.” I am forever grateful to be a recipient of that disciple-making process, including being baptized in the name of (or “into” a lifestyle of devotion to) all of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Hallelujah, that He is with His disciples to the very end of the age! I pray all these things in Your Son’s wonderful name. Amen.
