Dear Father, I am captivated by the precious truth of today’s Scripture verse, that since I have received Jesus as my Savior, my “old spiritual man” is dead—crucified with Christ when He was crucified. I rejoice with all my heart, that because Christ rose from the grave and He lives in me, that my “new spiritual man” is alive in Him! I praise Christ that He is my life. I marvel at what Martin Luther said about a Christian’s earthly life, “It is but the mask of life under which lives another, namely, Christ, Who is my true life.” Hallelujah, that I and all believers live in all of this abundant life, “by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” I exalt the Son of God, Your one and only Son, Whose divine Sonship with You is THE source of all the power through which all believers have life, now and for all eternity. I close this prayer with 1 John 5:11-13, “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” In His sacrificial name I place these things at Your feet. Amen.
