SCRIPTURE READING:
Revelation 1:4b-6

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the ruler over every earthly ruler for all time.

Dear Father, As I meditate on this mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Ruler of the Kings of the Earth, I humble myself and worship Him in all His glory and majesty. I magnify Jesus, the supreme Ruler, Leader and Prince, as He exercises dominion over all the rulers of the people of the earth! I am in awe that the fullness of Your power, authority, wisdom, lordship, grandeur and rights dwells in Him. I think of Psalm 99:1-3 which points to Christ as Ruler: “The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations. Let them praise your great and awesome name—he is holy.” I pray You will convict all kings and rulers throughout the earth to fear and submit to Christ’s rule. All praise and gratitude to the Ruler of the Kings of the Earth, Who loves me and all His people, “and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.”
