SCRIPTURE READING:
Revelation 22:16-17

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is both the divine ancestor and the human descendant of David.

Dear Father, I am very grateful that Jesus sent His angel to give me and His whole Church the testimony about Him in the Book of Revelation. I am further grateful that Genesis through Revelation testifies Who Christ has always been, is right now, and will be throughout all eternity to come. I rejoice that Jesus declares in today’s passage that He is the Root and the Off-spring of David, which confirms He is divinely qualified to guarantee that everything in Revelation is absolutely true. I am in awe that Jesus resolutely declared Himself to be the Fulfillment of the prophecy that the Messiah would come, and, that not only is He the promised descendant or Offspring of David, but that He is the eternal source or Root of David! I worship the majestic King Jesus, the Root and the Offspring of David. I repent for all the times I have lacked faith in Him, and for all the ways I have treated Him as less than the Sovereign, Lord, Ruler, Master, King, Overseer, Governor and Shepherd that He is. I pray that You will do what-ever is needed in me, my family and the Church of the nations to convince us that the Root and the Offspring of David is our All in All, so that we will give our all to Him. I pray these things in His exalted name. Amen.
