SCRIPTURE READING:
Acts 5:29-32
Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings! The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the great king and deliverer of His people.
Dear Father, I am very glad You raised Jesus from the dead and exalted Him to Your right hand as Prince and Savior. I bow before Him Who rules forever as the great Prince of princes (Sovereign Lord, King and Ruler) and Savior (long-awaited Messiah) for all people. All dominion and glory to Him Who alone gives repentance and eternal forgiveness to me and all who confess our sins! I pray that Your Spirit will cause an increasing number of believers to be hungry (as King David expressed in Psalm 42:1-2) to know more about the Prince and Savior, and that we will be in utter amazement of all He is and all that He does. Please light a holy fire in us to worship Him, love and adore Him, speak continually to one another about His majesty, devote every part of our lives to Him, and pray for His manifest presence to saturate His whole Church, here and now. May widespread repentance and forgiveness of the lost be released. I pray these things in the exalted name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
