Hebrews 2:9-10

But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the architect and maker of salvation.

Dear Father, I agree with the writer of Hebrews that it is fitting that You made the Pioneer of Their (Our) Salvation perfect (complete) through suffering. I rejoice with all my heart that You sent Him to earth to suffer and die on the cross so that I and all mankind might have eternal life. Truly, He is our Pioneer (Author, Firstborn, Leader, Perfector) and the One and Only through Whom we can have salvation. I exalt and thank Him that He makes the way and He leads those who believe in Him into glorious salvation. Hallelujah! I praise the Pioneer of Their Salvation that He makes believers in Him holy, and that we are now in His family! I am grateful that day to day He is helping us grow into the fullness of our salvation (becoming His disciples). I pray that You will put a deep gratitude in the hearts of all believers for the priceless gift the Pioneer of Their Salvation is to us, and convict us to repent of everything else that has been more precious than Him in our lives. Please build in us an intimate love relationship with the Pioneer of Their Salvation, that we cannot wait to talk about with every-one else You bring into our lives. I ask these things in Jesus’ life-giving name. Amen.
