3 John 1:5-8
Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way in a manner that honors God. It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST’S rank and authority is above all others in the universe.
Dear Father, I worship and praise the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the Name above every name, to Whom one day very soon every knee in heaven and on earth and under the earth will bow, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord to Your glory. I rejoice that all Your power, authority, righteousness, grace and wisdom are in the Name, that kings and nations rise and fall under the Name, and for the sake of the Name millions of followers have gone out to proclaim the new life that is in Him alone. I pray You will build in me a consuming love for the Name, so I will speak of His wonders with great delight to every other believer I can. May He become the center of the thoughts, discussions, prayers, affections, praises and amazement of His people. May Your Spirit give us an unquenchable passion to spread the fame of the Name to many multitudes of men, women, young people and children all around us who are currently lost without Him. I pray these things in the name of the Name. Amen.
