Colossians 2:1-3
I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST reveals the whole mystery of Who God is. To know Christ is to know God.
Dear Father, Thank You that You have revealed the Mystery of God, namely, Christ, to me and to millions of others in the world and around the world. I rejoice that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I confess that I am not able to comprehend the immensity of all wisdom and all knowledge. But, I am absolutely sure that Christ is big enough, vast enough, and supreme enough that all the treasures of Your wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him. All majesty and glory to Him! As Paul struggled for the people of Colossae and Laodicea to have the full riches of complete understanding in order that they may know the Mystery of God, I struggle in prayer that all believers here and now may understand much, much more of Who Christ is. Please give us a thirst to know more about the Mystery of God whenever we read the Bible, see His creative works around us, experience His mighty deeds, and speak about Him with one another. I pray this thirst for the Mystery of God will penetrate the hearts of many unsaved people we know too. In Christ’s awesome name I ask these things. Amen.
