The Mystery From Which True Godliness Springs

SCRIPTURE READING:
1 Timothy 3:16
Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST reveals all of God to mankind and makes His godliness available to all who are willing.
Dear Father, I praise Jesus that He is the long-awaited Mystery From Which True Godliness Springs. I marvel at the Apostle Paul’s declaration that “beyond all question” the mystery of godliness is “great!” I am in awe that fulfilling the mystery required Your Son to leave His heavenly realm to: (1) reveal all You are (2) appear in a body (3) be vindicated by the Spirit (4) be seen by angels (5) be preached among the nations (6) be believed on in the world (7) be taken up in glory, and (8) be poised right now to return to earth as conquering King and Lord forever. I am deeply grateful that Your Son, Who was for many centuries “hidden” with You, was made manifest for my sake and for all of mankind! All glory and honor to Him! I am “blown away” by a number of other Scripture passages that powerfully state how Christ fulfills the mystery, including 2 Timothy 1:9b-10, “This grace [of God] was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” Thank You, thank You, that Your great godliness has sprung into my life through Jesus, my Savior and Lord! I pray that I and a groundswell of other believers will give ourselves to knowing the depths of the Mystery From Which True Godliness Springs. I pray that You will remove all obstacles to great numbers of unsaved people understanding Who He is before it’s too late. I ask these things in the liberating name of Jesus. Amen.
