Jesus is…
The Mighty Warrior Who Saves

The Lord has taken away your punishment,
he has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you;
never again will you fear any harm.
On that day
they will say to Jerusalem,
“Do not fear, Zion;
do not let your hands hang limp.
The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Dear Father, Just as it was very reassuring for the people of Israel in Zephaniah’s time to hear that You were going to take away their punishment from sin and turn back their physical enemy, it is a wonderful reassurance for me and every other believer today that Jesus greatly delights in taking away the punishment of our sins and turning back the enemy of our souls. Hallelujah! He even rejoices over us with singing! I praise Jesus that He is always with us through His Spirit, and that He is the Mighty Warrior Who Saves His followers. I marvel that You love us so much that You sent Jesus to dwell with us constantly. Thank You that the Mighty Warrior Who Saves has all the might and power of the Godhead to save me and all others who receive Him as our Savior in every spiritual and physical way we need Him. I pray that You will fill all believers with joy, freedom from fear, and a deep trust in all that the Mightiest Warrior is, and in all He does in His kingdom. I pray that You will disciple us into mighty warriors in Christ who will “not let our hands hang limp” about leading every lost person we possibly can to the Mighty Savior. I give all these things to You in His saving name. Amen.
