Jesus is…
The Man He Has Appointed

“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”
Dear Father, I thank You that Jesus is the Man He Has (You have) Appointed to one day judge the world with justice. I am deeply grateful that He has all Your wisdom, authority, righteousness and grace, and, at the same time, He knows through His life on earth what people are thinking, feeling, saying and doing. I rejoice that You raising the One Who suffered the most severe injustice (dying on the cross for people’s sins) to the highest place of administering our justice, is absolute proof of His appointment by You. I pray that You will give me and all believers an intense desire to know all we can about Man He Has Appointed. May we long to know His character, His love, His names, His teachings, His promises, His prayers, His passions and His burdens, so that we will understand more and more what it is to be Your offspring. Please help us to be so in awe of the Man He Has Appointed that we will tell every other Christian and unbeliever we know about all He is. And, I ask that a pervasive reverence of Jesus will rise up among the masses of people across our land who have not yet received Him as Savior, that causes them to fall on their faces in repentance before it is too late. I pray these things in His holy and just name. Amen.
