SCRIPTURE READING:
1 Timothy 2:1-6

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is both fully God and fully man Who alone is the ransom for mankind.

Dear Father, I am very glad that the only Person Who could be the Mediator between God and men is the Man Christ Jesus. What a joy it is to think how Jesus was, and is, all that He designed mankind to be, with all the experiences, stages of life, feelings, thoughts, desires, needs and so on. Yet, He is the perfect, sinless man, with Your full attributes: wisdom, love, jus-tice, mercy, knowledge, understanding, authority, holiness and infinitely more. I give all glory to Jesus, the one and only God-Man, Whom You sent from heaven to give Himself as a ransom for all men. I love how Philippians 2:5-8 again strongly declares this same truth about the nature and mission of the Man Christ Jesus: “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in the appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” I pray that the Church of today will become increasingly enthralled with the Man Christ Jesus, and will unceasingly make requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving for everyone around us to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth about Him. I pray these things in His obedient name. Amen.
