SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 47:1-6
Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.
For the Lord Most High is awesome,
the great King over all the earth.
He subdued nations under us,
peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us,
the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.
God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST manifests in Himself and His saving work that God holds the highest rank in the universe.
Dear Father, I join with people from all the nations in clapping my hands and shouting with cries of joy about how awesome the ascended Jesus, the Lord Most High, the Great King Over all the Earth, is! I exalt Him that He alone is most great in power, most high in lordship, most esteemed in wisdom, most exalted in glory, and most magnificent in all His other capabilities and authority. I praise Him that He is triumphant over all the kingdoms of the earth and the enemy of our souls; His dominion and sovereignty are absolute and forever; His justice is righteous and final; and His majesty surpasses the excellence of the whole universe. I pray that I and multitudes of other believers across the world will become immersed in the supremacy of the Lord Most High, the Great King Over all the Earth, and ceaselessly praise Him, submit all of ourselves to His lordship, speak of His greatness to everyone we know, and pray with great urgency that unsaved people everywhere will receive Him as their Savior, Lord and King too. May we truly become one Church under Him. I pray these things in the name and for the glory of Jesus. Amen.
