SCRIPTURE READING:
Matthew 23:8-12

“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the one true teacher of all life.

Dear Father, I thank You for one true Instructor, Jesus the Messiah (the Christ). I praise Him that He has always possessed all the understanding, truth, wisdom, knowledge and skill to be the perfect Instructor of all subjects, especially of all Who You are. I join in the amazement recorded in Matthew 7:28-29 of the people who heard His teaching: “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.” I pray that I, my family members and all of His followers in our day will clearly hear and obey all of His teachings and commands, since He taught only what You told Him to teach. I pray also that You will give us an insatiable desire to know all of His character, attributes, passions, burdens, prayers and deeds, so that we will worship and thank Him more, love Him more, serve Him more, give ourselves more to Him, and speak about Him with one another whenever we can. May we be so amazed with His authority that we are humbled before Him. I ask that You will draw many lost people to the Instructor too, and open their hearts and minds to His truth. I pray these things in His amazing name. Amen.
