Jesus is…
The Heir of All Things

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
Dear Father, I rejoice that Jesus is Your One and Only Son. I am in awe that through Him the whole universe was made. Everything You have wanted to reveal to me and all people is made known by Him. My mind can only comprehend a little bit of the vast universe Your Son made, and the boundless wisdom, truth, righteousness, commands, promises and immeasurably more He has spoken (which is far beyond what the forefathers and prophets were able to speak of). Truly, Your Son is worthy of Your appointing Him Heir of All Things. All glory to You, and all glory to Jesus for His declaration of this in John 16:15, “All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” I wholeheartedly want the Spirit to make all of the Heir of All Things known to me and my family, and for us to live in all of Him. I rejoice in Romans 8:16-17, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” I pray these things in Christ’s blessed name. Amen.
