SCRIPTURE READING:
Romans 9:2-5
I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the highest being in this universe.
Dear Father, I grieve with Paul that the people of Israel, whom God had blessed so abundantly, had turned away from Christ, the supreme God Over All. I further grieve that they had forfeited the great honor they could have received as Your chosen people, to demonstrate to the world around them the majesty and love of the God Over All. I repent for the many ways I and other believers today are not living in the fullness of Who the God Over All is. I pray You will give us an insatiable desire to know everything we can about Him, so we will give up everything else to have an intimate love relationship with Him. Please help us to live in the full adoption as sons and daughters of Him. May the God Over All, be over all of our lives. I urgently pray that the men, women, young people and children all around us who are lost with many other gods over them, will very soon forsake all those gods, and invite the God Over All to save them. All praise, honor and glory to Jesus, in Whose name I pray these things. Amen.
