SCRIPTURE READING:
Exodus 9:1-3
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, so that they may worship me.” If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back, the hand of the Lord will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the field—on your horses, donkeys and camels and on your cattle, sheep and goats.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the ultimate judge of all individuals and nations who defy Him, and the defender of all His people.
Dear Father, I am very grateful that You punished Pharaoh and the people of Egypt for not letting the Hebrewpeople go from slavery to worship You. I honor Jesus that He is the fulfillment of the God of the Hebrews, as the Supporter, Ruler, Protector, Defender and Judge for all who receive Him as their Savior, regardless of whether we are Jews or Gentiles. I praise the Lord Jesus that before the beginning of time, He had all the power, wisdom, authority, strength and righteousness to say to the powers of darkness, “Let my p eop le go,” so that many of us can freely worship Him, follow Him, love Him, serve Him, obey Him and speak about His greatness. I pray that in all the situations today where Christians are being persecuted for their faith, the God of the Hebrews will punish all the persecutors, and cause them to submit to His Lordship. I pray that as Satan seems to be increasing his relentless attacks on many righteous people, that the whole Body of Christ will trust the God of the Hebrews with all of our hearts, and pray without ceasing for His will to be done. I ask these things in the victorious name of Jesus. Amen
