SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 42:8-11

By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
I say to God my Rock,
“Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
oppressed by the enemy?”
My bones suffer mortal agony
as my foes taunt me,
saying to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”
Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the King, Savior and Lord of our entire existence.

Dear Father, I am so glad for Your constant reminders of the priceless truth that Jesus is the God of my Life. I praise His holy name that He is not just a God of part of my life, but THE one and only God of every part of my life, now and forever! I marvel that Jesus always has been and always will be the God of ALL life: He is the foundation and source of all life, the protector and keeper of all life, the beauty and hope of all life, the sustenance and refreshment of all life, the Lord and ruler of all life, the Redeemer of all eternal life, and far more than I can imagine. JESUS IS LIFE! I exalt Him that He is the God of His Church, and, thus, the God of my Life, as the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 1:22-23, “And God placed all things under his [Jesus’] feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” I pray You will help me, my family members and the whole Church to know the God of my Life so thoroughly and intimately that we will put our full hope in Him and praise Him, regardless of the circumstances we are facing. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, our Savior and our God. Amen.
