Jesus is…
The Glory of Israel

But Samuel said to him, “I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you as king over Israel!”
As Samuel turned to leave, Saul caught hold of the hem of his robe, and it tore. Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors—to one better than you. He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind.”
Dear Father, I rejoice that Jesus is the Glory of Israel. I think of how He created Israel (and all people and lands) in glory. I think of Him sustaining all He created, coming to earth in Your fullness, revealing You to the people of Israel, teaching and performing miracles, dying for our sins, rising from the dead, ascending to heaven, ruling at Your right hand, returning one day as King of all kings, and much more—all in total glory. I love John’s declaration of Christ’s glory in John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” I pray that Habakkuk 2:14 will very soon come to pass: “The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” I also pray that followers of Christ will continually acknowledge His greatness and give Him all glory and honor now. I pray especially that multitudes of Jewish people around the world will receive a revelation of Who the supreme Jesus is, and fully accept Him as their Messiah. I pray all these things in the name of the Glory of Israel. Amen.
