Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the only way to eternal salvation.
Dear Father, I am exceedingly grateful that Jesus is the true Gate (or Door) For The Sheep. My heart is filled with praise that I and all other people can enter like sheep into a relationship with You (be saved) through Jesus. I love the wonderful confirmation in Acts 4:9-12 that we are able to come to You only through the Gate: “If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” I am so thankful that He is our complete protection from all who intend to harm us, and that we have the full abundance of life You created us to have, in Him. I pray that Your Spirit will remind me and all other believers how valuable the Gate is to each of us, so that we will worship, adore, trust and obey Him with all of our hearts. I pray also that Your Spirit will do whatever is necessary in all unsaved people to overcome all their resistance to entering through the Gate For The Sheep. I ask these things in the name of the Savior. Amen.
