SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 40:27-29

Why do you complain, Jacob?
Why do you say, Israel,
“My way is hidden from the Lord;
my cause is disregarded by my God”?
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, as God’s Son, is the timeless master of all circumstances.

Dear Father, I admit that sometimes I question You like the people of Israel did in today’s Scripture passage while they were in exile in Babylon. I repent for thinking and saying, “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God.” Without a doubt, I have heard, and I know for certain, that the Lord Jesus is the Everlasting God. I praise Him that He has always been, and always will be, the great and mighty I AM. Glory to Him that there is no One beyond Him or before Him, nor will there be any One after Him. I rejoice that my salvation in Him is everlasting, and that His love, goodness, power, majesty, wisdom, patience, mercy and all the rest of His infinite characteristics endure forever! Hallelujah! Nothing is hidden from Him; and my hope in Him is completely secure. I pray that You will reveal much more of the Everlasting God to me and to many other believers, so we will completely trust Him in all circumstances and speak of His everlasting faithfulness. I pray these things in the strength of His name. Amen.
