1 John 1:1-4
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is Himself eternal life, not a period of time, but a Person.
Dear Father, Again, I thank You that the Apostle John, and the rest of the early apostles and disciples, could definitely agree and testify that He Who is Life, Jesus Christ, did appear (was incarnate, manifested His presence) and dwelt among them. I rejoice that those followers could boldly proclaim that the Word of Life is the Eternal Life, the eternal Son of God, Who had always been with You before He came to earth! I am deeply, deeply grateful that I and all who receive Him as our Savior have eternal life in the One Who is Eternal Life! I bless Jesus that through Him we have fellowship with You and with Him, as He prayed in John 17:3, “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” My joy is magnificently complete! I believe with all my heart that it is time now for me and masses of other believers to give everything to Jesus so we can live in John 17 fellowship with You and with Him. Please help us to do that. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, our precious Eternal Life. Amen.
