SCRIPTURE READING:
Romans 11:25-27

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the eternal liberator of mankind.

Dear Father, Thank You for this assurance that Jesus fulfills the covenant You made with the people of Israel to send a Deliverer to turn them (rescue them) from their godlessness. I am deeply grateful that the Deliverer of Your New Covenant came also for me and all Gentiles, as John said in John 1:12, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” I pray that we who have received the Deliverer as our Savior will regularly repent of any godlessness or hard-ness of our hearts that keeps us from completely submitting to His Lord-ship. May we constantly abide in the spirit of the Lord’s prayer recorded in Matthew 6:13b, “deliver us from the evil one.” I worship the Deliverer by singing some of “O Worship the King” by Robert Grant: (verse 1) “O worship the King, all glorious above, And gratefully sing His power and His love; Our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days, Pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise. (verse 2) O tell of His might, O sing of His grace, Whose robe is the light, Whose canopy space, His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form, And dark is His path on the wings of the storm. (verse 5) Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail, In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail; Thy mercies how tender! How firm to the end! Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.” I pray the Deliverer will turn godlessness away from our cities and towns and whole nations. In His saving name I offer these things to You. Amen.
