Jesus is…
The Culmination of the Law

Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Dear Father, I thank You that the law shows all people our unrighteousness and the impossibility of satisfying the curse of sin through our own works. I am so glad that You sent Jesus to earth to be the Culmination (end/fulfillment) of the Law. I think of His statement in Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” I rejoice that Jesus is completely pure, holy, righteous, just and obedient, and that He shed His blood on the cross for the total remission of our sins. I rejoice that I am fully cleansed and pardoned by You through Him. Hallelujah! My faith in Him is credited as righteousness, as Paul quoted King David in Romans 4:7-8, “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” I pray that Your Spirit will remind me and all other believers of the incomparable price the Culmination of the Law paid for us, so that we will continually thank Him, praise Him and speak about all He is to the many lost people we know. May they become convicted of their urgent need for salvation through Jesus too, and steadfastly believe in Him. I praise Christ that He is ALL, and He is all we need. In the Culmination of the Law’s name I pray these things. Amen.
