SCRIPTURE READING:
Daniel 7:8-10

“While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

“As I looked,

“thrones were set in place,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.
A river of fire was flowing,
coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
and the books were opened.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, is God in the flesh, the Lord of history, Whose kingdom will have no end.

Dear Father, I am profoundly in awe of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the Ancient of Days. I praise Him that He has existed for all eternity; He is timeless and ageless. I rejoice that His kingdom has no end, and that no empires or rulers are able to withstand or overcome the blazing fire of His absolute judgment. I revere Him for the authority You have given Him to judge, as He states in John 5:22-23a, “Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father.” I join the vast multitudes that Daniel prophesies will one day “attend” the Ancient of Days and “stand before him,” and that John proclaims in Revelation 5:11-12 will soon acknowledge His greatness: “Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’” As I bow down before the exalted Ancient of Days, I pray that unprecedented numbers of His people around the world today will humble them-selves before Him. I pray these things in His esteemed name. Amen.
