SCRIPTURE READING:
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the omnipotent, supreme being.
Dear Father, I honor Jesus, Who possesses all Your power, might and omnipotence. I think of the announcement of the Messiah in Isaiah 9:6b, “And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” I praise Jesus that from eternity to eternity He is the Almighty. I am “blown away” when I think again about the vast almightiness of Christ, Who Paul says in Colossians 3:11, “Is all and is in all!” I give the highest praise of Jesus that He “is All” (above and beyond all He has created), and, at the same time, “is in All” (the core or DNA of all He has created)! I am deeply grateful that: He knows all things; He is everywhere; He has all grace and mercy; His love never fails, and is enduring forever; He has all wisdom and understanding; nothing is too difficult for Him; He is completely secure and unchanging; He is entirely faithful; and He is completely pure and holy. He is Almighty in all ways! I pray that You will give me and many other believers a persistent craving to know the Almighty, so we will trust Him and give ourselves wholly to His lordship. I earnestly plead that Your Spirit will open the understanding of millions of lost people to see the Almighty and tremble before Him. I pray these things in His incomparable, almighty name. Amen.
