SCRIPTURE READING:
Revelation 21:22-27

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.  The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.  On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the living and final place of worship.

Dear Father, My words are inadequate to express even the glimpse I already have of the Temple. But, I am exceedingly grateful that there will not be a separate religious facility in the Holy City of Jerusalem, because You and Your Son are the Temple of the new city! What a wonderful revelation this passage is that the new city is all Temple, where You and the Lamb are present everywhere in all Your holiness and oneness! I marvel as I envision every-one in the New Jerusalem focused in praise on You and Your Son. This seems to be a glorious fulfillment of Psalm 22:3 where You inhabit the praise of Your people. I give all worship to the Temple like King David gave to You in his praise in Psalm 34:1, “I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” I am exceedingly delighted that every other praise uttered by saints throughout the ages will be brought to the Temple and woven there into continuous, eternal praise. Oh my Father, please prepare me and all Your people today for eternity with the Temple, by revealing to us much more of Christ than we have ever known. In His holy name I pray these things. Amen.
