SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 96:7-9

Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come into his courts.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness;
tremble before him, all the earth.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST displays the grandeur of God’s holy character.

Dear Father, I worship the Lord Jesus, Who is the beauty of all holiness (of the God-head), and the Splendor of His Holiness. I marvel at how all the attributes of the Splendor of His Holiness proceed from and converge into the dazzling white radiance of His holiness! Oh, the glorious purity, clarity, luster and perfection of His nature, like a most precious diamond without flaw or stain. I am in awe that He shines brightly as the only sinless One. I join the writer of this Psalm in trembling before Him. Please flood my life, and the lives of all His people, with constant demonstrations of His holiness, so that we will cry out to Him day and night, “Holy, Holy, Holy is Jesus, the Lord God Almighty.” I pray that You will convince us to repent of all unholiness in our lives, and immerse our thoughts, motives, actions and words in His splendid holiness too. May we continually ascribe to the Splendor of His Holiness all the glory due His name. I pray that many lost people around us will also become captivated and transformed by that holiness. In the beautiful name of Jesus I ask these things. Amen.
