SCRIPTURE READING:
1 Corinthians 1:27-31

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the source of our salvation and godliness.

Dear Father, I thank You that I am in Christ Jesus, my Righteousness, Holiness and Redemption. I joyfully boast that there are no limits to His righteousness, holiness and redemption. I rejoice that Jesus is the fullness of righteous-ness: “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are all justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:22-24). And, I rejoice that Jesus is the fullness of holiness: “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:22-23). I rejoice also that Jesus is the fullness of redemption: “In him [Jesus] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ” (Ephesians 1:7-9). I pray that You will help me, my family members and all other believers to make every effort to live in the riches of Christ’s righteousness, holiness and redemption. In His blessed name I ask these things. Amen.
