SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 33:20-22

Look on Zion, the city of our festivals;
your eyes will see Jerusalem,
a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved;
its stakes will never be pulled up,
nor any of its ropes broken.
There the Lord will be our Mighty One.
It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams.
No galley with oars will ride them,
no mighty ship will sail them.
For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST has all of the abilities of the Godhead to completely take care of His people.

Dear Father, I am greatly encouraged and strengthened by this Scripture passage, where the Mighty One is the complete caretaker of His people. I rejoice that all the might, power, excellence, faithfulness, authority and all the other infinite attributes of the Godhead are vested in Jesus. He is thus the only One Who could be this Mighty One. I note that some translations of the Bible refer to this name of Jesus as the “Glorious Lord.” I rejoice that the Mighty One, the Glorious Lord, provides all the cleansing, freedom, defense, love, hope, refreshment and provision His people need. I praise Him that He constantly provides, “a place of broad streams; a peaceful abode; a tent that will not be moved” for His people. I shout “Hallelujah” that He is our judge, lawgiver and king, and “it is he who will save us.” Please help us to have an insatiable desire to know Him, meditate on Him, praise Him, talk about Him and trust every part of our lives to His might. And, I pray that You will release the broad streams of Jesus into the lives of great numbers of lost people all around us, so they will be in awe of Him and eagerly receive Him as their Savior and Lord too. All glory and honor to our Mighty One, in Whose matchless name I pray these things. Amen.
