SCRIPTURE READING:
Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the fullness of both God and Savior.

Dear Father, I rejoice that Paul clearly proclaims Jesus Christ is the great God, the one Who is co-equal with You, existing for all eternity with You, the fullness of Who You are, and sent by You to reveal You to mankind. He is surely the Savior. I am in awe of how Paul ties “Great God and Savior” and “Jesus Christ” together to abundantly emphasize the breadth and depth of Christ’s majesty, glory, rule, mission, sacrifice, divinity, lordship and more. Christ is ALL and is in ALL! I am extremely grateful that I and millions of other believers in our region and throughout the world have absolute certainty that, on the day You have appointed, Jesus Christ, our Great God and Savior, will return in all His glory from Your right hand in heaven to gather us unto Himself forever! I fervently pray that today You will compel me and many, many other believers to consecrate ourselves to knowing and loving our Great God and Savior, so we will be “His very own” with all our hearts. I pray these things in Jesus’ great name. Amen and Amen.
