Jesus is…
Our Glorious Lord Jesus Christ

My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
Dear Father, I am in awe as I think of the majesty of our Glorious Lord Jesus Christ. I bow before the Lord (Ruler, Master) Jesus (Savior) Christ (Anointed One) Who has had all glory, and will have all glory for all eternity! Truly, there is none other than He Who is the magnificent Radiance of Your glory. I take today’s Scripture passage very seriously because in combining Lord, Jesus and Christ, then emphasizing that He is glorious, James is declaring the infinite and unmatched power, glory, authority, lordship and supremacy of the Person of persons. I pray that You will do whatever is necessary to convince me, my family members and multitudes of other believers, to bow our knees and confess with our tongues (Philippians 2) from this moment on, how great the Glorious Lord Jesus Christ is. I pray that one way we will honor and submit to our glorious Lord is to sincerely respect, honor and care for one another, regardless of each other’s race, social status, possessions, color, age, gender and so on. Please put in our hearts a conviction to help each other grow in our devotion to Jesus. I ask these things in the Glorious Lord Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
