SCRIPTURE READING:
Job 16:18-21

“Earth, do not cover my blood;
may my cry never be laid to rest!
Even now my witness is in heaven;
my advocate is on high.
My intercessor is my friend[a]
as my eyes pour out tears to God;
on behalf of a man he pleads with God
as one pleads for a friend.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST bears witness in Heaven on behalf of His people as our perfect advocate to the Father.

Dear Father, I cannot adequately express my gratitude that, like Job, Jesus is my Witness in heaven, my Advocate on high. I rejoice that He is one with You and is a completely trustworthy and true Witness. I bless Him that His witness about me, and all of His followers, has the highest credibility and impact with You. I am glad He knows everything about us, loves us infinitely, and knows exactly what is best to plead on our behalf. What a Friend we have in Jesus! I pray Your Spirit will reveal to us more and more of the depths of Who the Witness is, and that we will place all our love, trust and hope in Him today, tomorrow and forever. I pray for Your will to be completely done regarding us, and that You will compel us to witness about the greatness of the Witness to everyone You bring into our lives. Please put an overwhelming longing in the hearts and minds of every person who has not yet received Jesus as their Savior and Witness, that they urgently need Him as their only hope too. I ask these things in the name and for the honor of Jesus. Amen.
