SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 18:1-6

I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and I have been saved from my enemies.
The cords of death entangled me;
the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
The cords of the grave coiled around me;
the snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST embodies all the might and power of the Godhead available for His people.

Dear Father, I really love the Lord Jesus Christ, my Strength! I praise Him that all the strength (might, force, power, resolve and endurance) of the Godhead dwells in Him. I worship Him that He has always been all the strength of the entire cosmos, that He is all the strength of all things today, and that for all eternity He will be all the strength of everything! I am very grateful that I and all His followers can live in the total certainty of Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Please help us to grow much more in our knowledge of and trust in Jesus, our Strength, and be willing to stop depending so much upon our own strength. I pray we will regularly tell one another and many other people You bring into our lives about the One Who is all Strength. I pray these things in His powerful name, and for His glory. Amen.
