Jesus is…
My Redeemer

I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!
Dear Father, I praise Jesus that Job knew that the Redeemer (his Redeemer) would one day rise in resurrection life and stand on the earth. I rejoice that Job was certain, even in the midst of his darkest hour, that regardless of what happened to him in his earthly circumstances, he could ultimately trust the resurrected Redeemer to resurrect him into His presence. I know with total certainty that Jesus has already redeemed me and all others who have received Him as our Savior, and that one day we will be with Him too. Hallelujah! I pray we will trust the Redeemer with every part of our lives now, and that our hearts will always yearn within us to know and love Him more. I joyfully sing some of the hymn, “Redeemed,” by Fanny Crosby: (verse 1) “Redeemed—how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb! Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy, His child, and forever I am. (chorus) Redeemed, redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Redeemed, redeemed, His child and forever I am. (verse 3) I think of my blessed Redeemer; I think of Him all the day long. I sing, for I cannot be silent; His love is the theme of my song.” I give these things to You in Christ’s precious name. Amen.
