Isaiah 42:1
“Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST was chosen before the foundation of the world to be the Savior of the world.
Dear Father, I praise Jesus that He completely fulfills today’s prophetic Scripture. I worship Him that He alone is Your beloved Son, Whom You chose before the foundation of the world as the Messiah, Savior, Redeemer and Servant to the world. I can only imagine how much You delight in Him, and I rejoice that You totally uphold Him with Your divine love, wisdom and power. Thank You for providing a number of Scriptures which affirm that Jesus is Your Chosen One, including the Apostle Paul’s closing words to the Church of Rome in Romans 16:25-27, “Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith—to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.” I marvel at how You powerfully revealed Jesus as Your Chosen One when the Spirit descended upon Him after His baptism, and You said from heaven: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). Please help His people to love the Chosen One with all their hearts, souls, minds and strength, and to tell everyone else You put into their lives about Him. May He bring unprecedented redemption and justice to the nations in our day. I pray these things in name of the Chosen One. Amen.
