SCRIPTURE READING:
John 20:30-31

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the anointed One from the heavenly Father.

Dear Father, As I think of all the miraculous signs and works Jesus did, I join the Apostle John in conclusively believing that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. I am in awe that these two majestic names for Him are brought together here: the Messiah (the Christ Who You promised from ancient times would come to earth to redeem people from their sins), and the Son of God (Your beloved co-eternal, co-equal Son; the Creator of the heavens and the earth). I pray that I and all others who have received Jesus as our Savior will believe in His supremacy like Martha (Lazarus’ sister) stated in John 11:25-27, “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ she replied, ‘I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.’” And, I urgently pray You will use whatever miraculous signs are necessary to cause multitudes of unsaved people to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, so they will have life in Him too. In His excellent name I pray these things. Amen.
