SCRIPTURE READING:
Psalm 74:12-17
But God is my King from long ago;
he brings salvation on the earth.
It was you who split open the sea by your power;
you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.
It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan
and gave it as food to the creatures of the desert.
It was you who opened up springs and streams;
you dried up the ever-flowing rivers.
The day is yours, and yours also the night;
you established the sun and moon.
It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth;
you made both summer and winter.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST has ruled His creation magnificently from the beginning of creation.
Dear Father, I praise the Lord Jesus Christ that He is the majestic, glorious and mighty King from Long Ago. I exalt Him that out of His limitless, eternal power and authority, He has performed all the ancient works and ruled the heavens and the earth. I bow before the Sovereign King from Long Ago, Who is able to deliver me and all His people today and forever. He is our great King; He is our Defender; He is our Lord; He is our Savior and Deliverer. Thank You that He will never forsake us! I pray You will immerse us in the knowledge and awe of our King From Long Ago, and give us an increasing trust in His amazing faithfulness and grace. I pray that He will release His overcoming power now to save us from all attacks, schemes, plans and temptations of the enemy of our bodies, minds and souls. And, I pray that we will be so captivated by our King that we will speak of His greatness to everyone around us, so that they will intensely desire to receive Him as their King from Long Ago too!! I pray these things in the name of the immortal King. Amen.
