Dear Father, I bow before Jesus, Who lives forever and Whose name is Holy. I am in awe of Jesus as I think of some of the other words that help me understand His limitless holiness: consecrated, sacred, hallowed, sanctified, divine and pure. I exalt Jesus that He alone is the source and the finisher of all of those attributes, and much more. All glory and honor to Him. I exalt Him that He lives in a high and holy place, yet You sent Him to earth to reveal the magnificent holiness of the Godhead, and to give His life that I and all others who receive Him as our Savior might be holy in Him! I repent that, like the people of Israel to whom Isaiah spoke today’s Scripture passage, I tend to be proud and follow unholy ways. I pray You will cleanse me of every obstacle that is keeping me from being contrite and lowly in spirit, and of all unholy thoughts, words and actions. There is nothing I need and want more than to live completely in Jesus, and to be fully revived in my spirit and heart. I further pray that You will put a compelling desire in the whole Church to intimately know the holiness of Jesus, and to become more and more holy as He is Holy. May the unsaved people all around us who are desperate to be released from unholy bondage into eternal life in the Holy One, turn to Him before it is too late. I pray these things in His blessed name. Amen.
