SCRIPTURE READING:
Revelation 21:1-3, 5a, 6-7

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST presides over God’s kingdom.

Dear Father, Thank You for the grand unfolding of Your plan, where Your Son, He Who was Seated on the Throne, will “make everything new” for His kingdom and for all the people He has redeemed. I exalt Him that He has been seated on the throne at Your right hand since He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. My spirit is filled with gratitude, awe and hope that You have given Him all authority to judge mankind, as is powerfully evidenced in the impending judgment of the dead recorded in Revelation 20:11-12, “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.” I worship He Who was Seated on the Throne because all His judgments and all the words He says to make things new are absolutely “trustworthy and true!” Please soon awaken Your people to the spectacular greatness of He Who was Seated on the Throne, and to the increasing fulfillment of these Revelations about Him, so our consuming passion will be to know Him for all He is. In His exalted name I pray. Amen.
