Jesus is…
Greater Than Our Father Jacob

The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
Dear Father, I worship the Lord Jesus, Who is Greater Than Our (the Samaritan woman’s) Father Jacob, and greater than all people who have ever lived or will ever live! I rejoice that the Samaritan woman was desirous of knowing about the power, authority and greatness of Jesus, and was willing to ask questions about Him. I say “Hallelujah,” that Jesus is God and He was with You for all of eternity! I praise Him that He created all people and all things, including the water in the well and even the components of the bricks that made the well! I think of just a small portion of what You said in Job 38-42 about the greatness of the Creator of the world: “Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt?’” I pray that I and all believers will constantly extol the greatness of Jesus, and that multitudes of the unsaved men, women, young people and children in our spheres of influence will urgently seek to discover the truth about His greatness. I pray these things in His majestic name. Amen.
