SCRIPTURE READING:
Acts 17:6-7

But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some other believers before the city officials, shouting: “These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here, and Jason has welcomed them into his house. They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is another king, one called Jesus.”

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the perfect choice over every other ruler in the universe.

Dear Father, I praise You that there is Another King (or ruler) appointed by You before the beginning of time, and He is called Jesus. I praise Him that He stands alone, far greater and more majestic than all other kings combined. I bow before Him Who rules the heavens and the earth, and Whose kingdom shall never end. I exalt Him that He is the perfect King: all-loving, all-wise, all-gracious, all-just, all-mighty, all-holy, all-faithful, all-merciful, all-wealthy, unconquerable, a sacrificial servant, the giver of life, and infinitely more. Hallelujah that the kingdom of Another King is built on love, as He states in John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” I pray that I and many other believers will become so captivated by the greatness of Another King that we will give up all other allegiances, and live totally under His sovereign rule. And, please also give unsaved people from every back-ground and mindset an intense dissatisfaction with whatever “king” they are serving, so they will urgently seek and surrender to Another King. I pray these things in His royal name. Amen.
